The Catio

The first renovation was for my three cats who were traumatised by their first (and last) 6 hour journey in the hold of a noisy plane. Even before they arrived I’d remotely organised for access to be given to Ben at Cat Space Enclosures to create a space for them down the side of the house. Once we got to Perth it was a quick trip to Ikea and Bunnings to buy paint and goodies to create a new home for them. We wanted them to have access to the outdoors in a new environment but also to be safe from unknown dogs and their own inclinations to run away and hide. One of my cats is deaf so it was really important to have this space because if she got lost, she wouldn’t be able to hear us call her.
